Rided to the tulip fields on a Springy Sunny day

Here I come after a long hiatus.Since a month I have no time on weekdays for work and no time for other things on week ends..
But thought should write about Keukenhof without a miss!

This year when April hit we thought we should make it to flower fields in Netherlands. So why specifically on April?
The flower gardens is open between last week of march and mid of may every year.

It was on 2007 that we first visited the gardens.Wow, It was superb and beyond words like every first timer would feel.
You get to see so many beautiful flowers,so many colours and you start to feel like you are in a kind of wonderland.
It would be difficult to choose the place to click a pic. One must have a 360 degree rotating camera!

An year later during the same spring we got a fascination to go to flower fields outside the garden. So we packed our bags for May first weekend
Some one had advised us we would be able to get into the fields from the gardens itself which is isnt the case and when we reached we realized it was too late for getting into fields. We could not help for anything except the huge disappointment and ended up seeing the same colours and flowers inside the world"s largest flower garden.
I guess the tulips in the fields were all harvested for the Export :(

Mistakes shouldn't be made more than once! Here is the tip for all those who want to ride to the flower fields.
March would be too early and May would be too late. The perfect time would be April mid- April last week of every year.

Not a pretty pic,but one for the blog :)

Hurray and fast forward one year which was last week.
So this time on a nice springy sunny morning we reached there around 11 hrs and we were all set for cycling :). We knew what we wanted and there we see cycle renting shop very close to the garden entrance. We rented them, each of them costing 8.5 euros for the whole day.(Tandems come at a cost of 18.5 Euros). You get a map for about 1.5 euros of routes for flower fields which by itself is not worthy. We started off rightly in the wrong direction ! So a good tip would be after getting on to your cycle, cross the main road, get into the cycling track on the right side, ride for about 1 km along the track where you will see every one riding until you cross a railway crossing. If you still keep following the avid cyclists you get there. I always believe good things come in loads. Like this day where Lisse welcomed us with lot of beautiful, fantastic and lovely tulip fields in which ever road we took.

I have heard people referring to the place as Keukenhof or Tulip gardens but I did not care for the name of town which is "Lisse" which was my discovery during the trip .LOL.

Don"t miss Lisse when you get a chance to be in Europe during Spring!

Cheers

I had visions but my comfort-zone spoilsported them !

I had visions but my comfort-zone spoilsported them !

This relates to Albert Einstein's quote 'The only thing interfering with my learning is my education' or it's popular version 'I was born intelligent but education ruined me'.

Reverse,Some years but not long ago.

I was always looking for something and I strived each day for knowledge and thought only it can make the difference and it is capable of making someone a winner or a looser. This was all true until I landed on a job. Then comfort factor started to grow in me and it grew bigger with days along with other priorities. I was happy doing nothing to improve on things that I liked to do earlier.

All day relaxing and the best part was no goal and no focus :)

I was an early riser and this isn't the case for last couple of years and I am sure people who know me well would be surprised to hear this! It is like a day to do a 'pre-defined' set of things. And it isn't so difficult to guess! Work, cook, sleep, gmail, orkut, facebook, bbc, ndtv, yahoo and some sports.

One has to do justice to their inner thoughts at some point of time no matter what.So first step to do that justice is 'A Blog' to pen down my thoughts.

I had thought during my teens, that in future I have to write articles about positive things in life. I had also thought whether i can become an established writer that some publishing house would be ready to publish what I write. I don't know how much this is possible but in a way I am glad that I have this opportunity to pen!

Now,I have started feeling more stronger at what I had thought in earlier part of my life and already put my small dreams and visions back on track .

It is really good when we look forward for something and we actually know that we are going to make it, rather than thinking 'Oh Man, what this day holds for me'

It is always about the choices we make as we race with life and not about loosing our 'SELF'. And not to forget, with wiser choices we aren't going to regret sooner or later

Getting away..

So,getting away with what? A bag full of money or A dense crowd.. or.. what could it be? When something which needs to be straighten up doesn't seem to work... What do you want to do.."Yes,I need to get the hell of out of here!". The magnitude of situations vary each time, testing the endurance! It could be something like spill of food when starting for the day or could be like "point of no direction". It could also be string of such events in a fine day!

Remind yourself of a soldier freezing at -30 degrees fighting out for the country along the borders. He not only has to survive at the first place,he also has to defend himself and fight out. Isn't that inspiring? You could think of this when something is not working the way it is ought to be. A lot of courage, persistence and confidence could be derived.I am also sure we in our everyday lives will have less to face than those in a courageous soldier.

We don't have to whine about some small things as we need to sail along troughs and crests. Just that we need to know how to balance them and to understand that at trough position there is a crest waiting and at crest there is a trough waiting again!

Reaching sky's limit

Have you ever faced a situation in life where you strive harder to prove yourself.
The happiness ,the satisfaction and other important factors are not dependant on what others think about us.
If we try to prove us, we are on loosing path as we yield to the 'proving pressure' getting away from the focus to perform
The best we can do for ourselves is compare our progress only with ours and not with some body else.
Here we shall add a small component -'Uniqueness'. About a million times we have heard we are unique but seldom we realise and appreciate it.
If we had ever appreciated the uniqueness of us and that of others, then we wouldnt be whining about life
When destinations are different, how can the roads taken be compared!
Each individual has a great capability, what others cake walks might be at sky's reach for you and what you master will be more than sky's reach for others .
Aim at every instance to perform better than what you did last time.
Keep flying with focus, you are sure to reach your part of the sky soon!

More happier..

As the course of life becomes faster, we tend to loose one great essence of life, temperamant !
When so many things are irking all the time, what is the THAT best we can do to keep us happier. Simply IGNORE. Is it not easier now!
What you would be ignoring is the 'piece of mind' that irking gives you. You simply dont take that inside your mind.
By this way, you keep away from what you dont like and not loosing your valuable emotion, 'temper'.
The things are not taken too deeper into the heart, so everything is green and gold!
All good things to lead a peaceful life lies in our mind, deep there or round the corner! Life is simpler than every one of us think.
Be more determined, Get the way out and lead life harmoniuosly
